  11. Apropos Roger Hare's question on database programming, I recall
  12. there is an example in the book "Icon programming for humanists" by
  13. Alan Corre' (name hopefully not misspelled), which may be elaborated
  14. upon.

  16. Perhaps more realistically, chapter 4 of "The AWK programming language"
  17. by Aho, Kernighan and Weinberger (Addison-Wesley 1988, ISBN 0-201-07981-X)
  18. describes a relational database system written entirely in AWK, with
  19. report generation, form letters and query language. Would their model
  20. be useful, at least to get you started?
